Welcome to the Sweet Tea Films website.
Sweet Tea Films primarily consists of me, Joel Berry. I’m currently located in Southern California and have had the privilege of putting together professional scripts and videos for clients since 2006.
In addition, I’ve been developing my own work online, primarily in the character Tavin Dillard. Tavin has gained an audience since being featured on You Tube in 2006 and that audience has slowly grown over the years.
Sponsors have shown up  along that way and that has helped support the Tavin episodes recently.
In addition to online episodes, I write feature length screenplays and sit-coms.

I happened to discover your videos at the most least expected place (church youth camp) the guest speaker played a video each day and the kids absolutely loved it. As did all us adults! Love your work and it’s so nice to watch tasteful comedy.

Hello! Where in Arkansas did you grow up? My Dad’s family is from Yell County and have been there since 1835. I am currently living in Hallsville, Tx, but own an old family home in Bluffton, Yell County, Ar.

So, my siblings and I have taken to watching your videos at most family gatherings. Seeing as it’s the holiday season and family gatherings abound here in the south, our parents have had ample opportunity to see your videos as well. Long story short, our mom is convinced that you are the son of a preacher man that put in his penance by sharing the Good News with folks at our small town Arkansas church for a few years during the 80s. If you could confirm or deny this claim, we sure would appreciate it

Both! A lawyer for an uncle and a dentist for a father. My mom was super pleased with herself when I told her about your response. We love the videos! Partially because they remind us of home…and now maybe that makes a lot of sense

Found you on Youtube and it’s refreshing how our entire family- young and old together can roar with laughter at every single episode you’ve written! It’s nice to be able to watch something with family and not feel nervous about awkward, disgusting humor or foul language around the corner. You truly do stand out as a one of a kind artist in today’s entertainment world. You have no problem keeping the attention of your audience and word is really starting to spread rapidly about Sweet Tea Films.
You are a gifted actor and writer. Never give up nor conform to the norm and you will be a hero. This is exactly what we need.

can you say where you are originally from? Or at least the region? I’m from MS originally and Tavin is so authentic and true to people I ran across that I wonder if it is based on a southern character.

One thing I haven’t seen (that i remember when i lived in plantation moble home club in spring lake, NC) is something about a skatin rink, boy erybody loves them some skatin even mema. My mema anyway. Hit me up if’n you do one.

We did have dvds for sale, but we sold them and don’t have the funds to get more made. In fact there are two new dvds ready to be made, but we don’t currently have the money. Glad you like the videos and hopefully we’ll have some dvds soon!
If you sellin all the dvds and don’t have funds, either quit buyn so much butter or get a new manager LOL.
DVDs should be available by late June 2010. The artwork is being completed now and the dvd is complete. Stay tuned!
